Travis Anthon Bates of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Waldron, Arkansas. Travis was born October 22, 1984 to Mearl (Blue) Bates and Patsy A. (Ballard) Parks in Waldron, Arkansas. Travis was 31 years, 6 months and 4 days old.

Travis loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, family and friends.

Travis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his companion of 15 years, Jennifer Allen of the home, two children: LaTasha Allen and Trevor Bates of the home, mom and stepdad, Leonard and Pat Parks of Waldron, Arkansas, two sisters: Stacy Singleton and husband Kenny of Greenwood, Arkansas, Treasa Woodard and David of Waldron, Arkansas and one brother, Mike Bates and companion Cindle Manning of Waldron, Arkansas and two step brothers, Sam Parks and Leonard Parks both of Mansfield, Ohio. Travis will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted , including a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Mearl Bates, grandparents, Wesley and Betty Ballard, Royce and Gladys Bates and one nephew, Wesley J. Singleton.

Travis' graveside life celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Pilot Prairie Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Rickey Hunt and Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Travis' pallbearers will be Bubba Canada, Shawn Williams, Blake Wright, Robert Marsh, Rick Bates, and Rusty Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Ridenhour, Earl Bates, Leonard Parks and Clay Gilbert.
