Marcia Kay Taylor of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Friday, March 13, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Marcia was born November 8, 1955 in Modesto, California to Rufus Ferrier Taylor and Luella May (Clark) Taylor. Marcia was 59 years, 4 months and 5 days old.
Marcia was a homemaker. She had experience in working in restaurants. She enjoyed taking care of her family and being with them. Her favorite poem was "If Tomorrow Never Comes".
Marcia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Doice Preston of the home, one daughter, Dawn Gifford and husband Cliff of Lewiston, Idaho, one son, Adam Sloniker and wife Ann of Waldron, Arkansas, one step son, David Preston and wife Dorothy of Waldron, Arkansas. Marcia will forever remain in the hearts of her thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Marcia is also survived by two brothers: Jimmy Taylor and wife Ann, and Roy Taylor both of Crystal River, Florida, one sister, Anita Savage of Mt. Eagle, Tennessee. Marcia will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Taylor and Luella Taylor and one brother, Martin Taylor.
Marcia's graveside life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Hon Cemetery in Hon, Arkansas with layman Bro. Don Jennings officiating. Interment will follow.
Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Marica's pallbearers will be Donnie Scantling, Johnny Reed, Don Hamilton, Junior Helton, Mike Handshaw and Doug Coursey.
Marcia's visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
