Lonny Dorwin Haptonstall of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, April 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Lonny was born June 14, 1935 to Alton Edward Haptonstall and Florence Matilda Wolf Haptonstall in San Diego, California. Lonny was 80 years, 10 months and 3 days old. Lonnie was a member at Temple Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. He was a man of God and tried to live everyday by example.
Lonny enjoyed working on bicycles and children's old fashioned peddle cars. He also lovedantiques. He enjoyed time spent with his family and church family. He was a warm and caring man.
Lonny leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Bonnie of the home, one daughter, Lora Gilliam of Freeman, South Dakota, two sons: Mark of Van Buren, Arkansas and Timothy of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two sisters: Charlie Ann Stoffel and Gladys Kellogg both of California. will forever remain in the hearts of nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Grandpa will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him, including an extended family of friends, neighbors and loved ones.
Lonny was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Florence Haptonstall, one son Jerry, one grandson, Jerry Jr., two sisters: Lorene and Jean and four brothers: Ernie, Lee, Dale and Hap.
Lonny's memorial life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas. Interment will in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas with military honors to follow. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
