Karen Elyane Harris

Karen Elyane Harris of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born August 27, 1950 to Richard Asbury and Zelma (Brown) Asbury in Coalinga, California. Karen was 64 years, 9 months and 21 days old.

Karen married the love of her life, Ken Harris, as a young girl. They lived in Waldron and began their family here. Together they raised three girls and then became proud grandparents and great grandparents. Karen enjoyed her grandchildren and played a huge role in their lives. Time spent with her family are priceless memories. Karen enjoyed to paint and she loved nature.

Karen leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Ken of the home, three daughters: Teresa Long and husband Carl, Tonya Harris and husband Guy, Amber Craig and husband Rusty all of Waldron, Arkansas, four brothers: Carl Asbury and wife Denise, George Asbury and wife Beverly, all of Booneville, Arkansas, Ray Asbury and wife Margaret of Magazine, Arkansas, Sandy Asbury and wife Kathy, and one sister, Cathy Remy all of Booneville, Arkansas. Granny will forever remain in the hearts of her four grandchildren: Calvin Long, Tylor Hudson, Lanie Hudson and Dusti Craig and four great grandchildren: Austin, Hunter, Peyton and Laykin. Karen will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her, including an extended family of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones dear to her heart.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Zelma Asbury, one brother, Billy Joe Asbury.

Karen's graveside life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Tom Garrison officiating. Interment will follow. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Karen's honorary pallbearers will be her brothers and son in laws and her grandsons.

Karen's visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
