Gary Howard Hattabaugh of Elm Park, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Elm Park, Arkansas. Gary was born April 2, 1967 to Howard Lee Hattabaugh and C. Joyce (McCoy) Hattabaugh in Waldron, Arkansas. Gary was 49 years and 12 days old.

Gary carried on the family tradition of working in the timber industry. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter. One of his favorite things to do was take his grandchildren fishing. He was a lifelong Razorback fan and enjoyed listening to country music. Gary was a proud member of Lynch Prairie Masonic Lodge #568 F &AM. Gary also had 2 dogs, Lucy and Mabel. They were a big part of their family. Gary's family and his grandchildren were the light of his life. Family gatherings were precious times to make memories.

Gary leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 31 years, Christy of the home, two sons: Jeff Hattabaugh and wife Jennifer of Elm Park, Arkansas and Jon Hattabaugh and wife Crystal of Spur Lake, Arkansas. Papa Hey will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren: Connor, Chloe and Tucker. Gary is also survived by his parents: Howard Lee and Joyce Hattabaugh of Spur Lake, Arkansas, one sister, Rebecca Frueh and husband Brent of Fort Smith, Arkansas and one brother Mitchell Hattabaugh and wife Debbie of Spur Lake, Arkansas. Gary will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including three nieces, one nephew and a host of extended family, friends, neighbors and hunting buddies that were dear to his heart.

Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents: Van & Homey Hattabaugh and John B. & Jewell McCoy.

Gary's life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Bud Qualls officiating. Interment will follow in the Freedom Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Gary's pallbearers will be Jeff Hattabaugh, Jon Hattabaugh, Mitchell Hattabaugh, Allen Brumbelow, Dennis Stell, and James Hattabaugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Frueh, Bud Qualls, Shawn Hattabaugh, Trevor Hattabaugh, Garris Hattabaugh, Bo Hattabaugh, John Taylor, Gary Coward, Kleif Brown and Kendall Brown.

Gary's visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where Gary's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
