Bobbie Jean Zimmer of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Bobbie was born March 2, 1937 in Parks, Arkansas to Troy Frost and Georgia (Miner) Frost. Bobbie was 79 years, 2 months and 23
days old. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas.
Bobbie was a cosmetologist in Waldron for 60 plus years. In that 60 years, she has served many clients ranging in age from toddlers to multi generational families. She loved working with her clientele. Bobbie enjoyed visiting with people and she was very active in the community. She worked tirelessly always serving others. Bobbie was honored to be appointed by Martha Shoffner, Treasurer of State, State of Arkansas as Honorary Deputy Treasurer for the State of Arkansas for her exceptional abilities, service, commitment and dedication to the Great State of Arkansas. She was awarded the Capitol Citation by Charlie Daniels, Secretary of State for her distinguished accomplishments, services and deeds to The State of Arkansas. Bobbie was also granted by the City of Waldron, because of her dedication to the city BOBBIE ZIMMER Day on February 4, 2009. She did look forward to some time for antiques and quilting. She took pride in her beautiful flower garden. The love Bobbie had for her family was always evident. The memories made with each of them will always be treasured.
Bobbie leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Stephen Zimmer and wife Kim of Heber Springs, Arkansas, one granddaughter, Kara Meyer of Heber Springs, three step grandchildren: Tracy Martz of Heber Springs, Jonathon Harris of Hampton, Virginia and Kathryn Harris of Heber Springs. Grandma Bobbie will forever remain in the hearts of her great grandchildren: Madalyn Meyer, Addilyn Meyer, Amber Martz and Alex Martz. Bobbie will be missed by one sister: Betty Davis and husband Willis and one brother Johnny Frost and wife Betty all of Lake Jackson, Texas. Bobbie will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including a host of cousins, extended family, friends, neighbors and dear loved ones close to her heart.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Georgia Frost, her long time companion and husband Clint Edgeman, and one sister, Sally Yates.
Bobbie's life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. John Elmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Chant Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Bobbie's pallbearers will be Wallace Hill, Bill Frost, Keith Piles, Leamon Piles, Danny Morran and Harvey Combs.
Bobbie's visitation will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
