Willie Jane Newman

Willie Jane Newman, better known as Jane, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Waldron, Arkansas. Jane was born June 27, 1945 in Waldron, Arkansas to Frank McDaniel and Edna (Prince) McDaniel. Jane was 71 years old.

Jane married her husband, Robert Newman, in 1961 and they began their lives together in Waldron, Arkansas. After raising two daughters they became grandparents and great grandparents. What Jane loved more than anything was being surrounded by her family. She looked forward to getting to love and squeeze on her babies. While time with family was precious, Jane treasured her quiet time sitting on the porch with the radio tuned to a country station playing softly in the background. She also enjoyed working with her flowers and garden.

Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Robert Newman of the home, two daughters: Debbie Eaves Lisa Scantling both of Waldron, Arkansas. Nana will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Jeremy Eaves Jesse Eaves, Danielle Meyer, Ronnie Scantling, and Michael Scantling as well as her 11 great grandchildren. Jane is also survived by her brothers: James McDaniel, Thurman McDaniel, and Jimmy McDaniel and special friend Delores Scantling who has been helping with Jane's care this past year who she shared many memories with. Jane will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted including a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family of friends and loved ones.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edna McDaniel, two sisters: Joann Yancey and Hazel Trozzi along with brothers: Coleman McDaniel, Mackey McDaniel and Henry McDaniel and nieces Mary McDaniel Bard and Brenda Yancey Payne and one special son-in-law, Steve Eaves.

Jane's graveside life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Center Point Cemetery in Hon, Arkansas with Rev. MIke Shaddon officiating. Interment will follow. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Jane's pallbearers will be Jeremy Eaves, Jesse Eaves, Logan Chronister, Jeremy Metcalf, Michael Scantling, Ronnie Scantling, Heath Wright, Darrell McDaniel and Ron Scantling.

Jane's visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where Jane's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
