William Ed Nelson, 68 of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in a Waldron, Arkansas hospital. Ed was born July 7, 1943 in Winfield, Arkansas to the late Earl and Faye (Sparks) Nelson. Ed is survived by his wife Helen Nelson; eight children, Rusty and Cindy Nelson, James and Lisa Nelson, Matthew and Danica Nelson, Brandon and Heather Nelson, Chris and Christie Akins, Tyson and Casie Akins, Amber and Brad LeMaster, Adam and Pazley Akins; fourteen grandchildren; Kandi Crump, and husband Bruce Crump, Nikki Perkins, Baily Nelson, Logan Nelson, Emily Nelson, Brianna Nelson, Bently Nelson, Makenzie Polen, Elijah Polen, Peyton Boyd, Seth Akins, Eden Akins, Evan Akins, Daisy Akins, two great grandchildren; Alli Perkins, Garrett Perkins, two brothers; Gary and wife Alice Nelson, Ronnie and wife Debbie Nelson, all of Waldron, Arkansas and one sister, Willa Dean Lambert of Chula, Arkansas Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Faye (Sparks) Nelson. Ed?s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Winfield Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Cook officiating. Internment will follow at the Sehorn Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Ed?s pallbearers will be William Stearman, Duane Blackmon, Rick Love, John Nelson, Jerry Bob Metcalf, Gary Janaway, Jeremy Metcalf, and Buddy Joe Helton. His honorary pallbearers will be the Nelson Deer Camp and Allen / Helton Deer Camp. Ed?s visitation will be Friday July 22, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.
