William Elijah "Eli" Bowie

On Friday, December 20, 2013, William Elijah Bowie, or "Eli" passed away. Eli was a 2011 graduate from Westside High School in Coal Hill, Arkansas. He attended Forrester Davis Development Center in Clarksville, Arkansas until the time of his death.

He is survived by his father, Charlie Bowie of Greenbrier, and his mother and stepfather, Gina and Rick Mars of Russellville. His surviving siblings are Zack and Valerie Bowie of Greenbrier, Alex and Seth Bowie of Russellville, stepbrother-Ryan Mars of North Little Rock, and half brother Drew Bowie of Timbo, Arkansas.

He was born on October 10, 1992 in Conway, Arkansas. He died on December 20, 2013 in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Eli lived his life to the fullest. He loved to travel, eat out at restaurants and at the Church potluck. He enjoyed traveling, listening to music, watching movies, bowling, swimming and riding four wheelers. And he absolutely loved the beach!

Anyone who knew Eli has and "Eli" story to tell because he touched so many lives. When Eli entered a building you knew he was there. He spread his joy to all those around him, and tried to make sure that everyone was ok. Those who were fortunate enough to have made his acquaintance will miss his kindness, cheerful attitude and comedic personality.

Eli's life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Pastor Gary Pettit officiating. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Beauchamp, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.

Eli's pallbearers will be Eddie Staggs, Jr., Stewart Staggs, Clay Staggs, Tyler Long, Wayne Clark, Joe Berry, Danny Berry and Jim Bowie.

Eli visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas.
