Willa Mae Blackmon of Waldron, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Waldron, Arkansas. Willa was born March 16, 1926 in Scott County Arkansas to Abner Morris and Josephine Nancy Slover. Willa was 87 years, 5 months and 9 days old. Willa Mae was a devoted member of the Waldron Jubilee Church.

Willa Mae Morris married Lewis Blackmon on September 7, 1946. Together they shared 59 years of wonderful memories before his passing in 2006. Willa Mae worked hard at the Rock Cafe for 13 years, and then she worked at Tyson Foods on the Production Line. When she wasn't working she enjoyed going fishing, she even would tell a fisherman's story....and make you believe it. Willa Mae was a quilter. She loved to go to yard sales and she never passed up an opportunity to antique with her friend. She was notorious for cooking, especially for the people in her life and she loved it. She loved to share her about her family. She treasured the children and every minute she was with them. Her most priceless memories where times spent with her family.

Willa Mae leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Duane Blackmon and daughter in law, Dottie Blackmon, of Waldron , Arkansas. Mamie Yocum, will forever be missed by two grandchildren: Robert L. Blackmon and Tony Blackmon and wife Dorothy Ann Blackmon. Granny Great will always be remembered by her great grandson, Landon Blackmon. Willa Mae will be missed by all who knew her and the many whose lives she touched, including a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Willa Mae is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Lewis, and her parents Abner and Josie Morris.

Willa Mae?s life celebrations will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Mike Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.

Willa Mae's pallbearers will be James Redd, James Hicks, Billy Wagner, Tommy Franklin, Sean Allen and David Yandell. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Love, Ronnie nelson, Albert Morris and Richard Edwards.

Willa Mae's visitation will be Friday, September 6, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Willa Mae's family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
