Tommy Lou Pace, 83, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed from this life Friday, February 26, 2010. He was born May 6th 1926 to the late Charles W. and Carrie (Lankford) Pace in Peacock, Texas. He was a decorated Naval Veteran of both World War II and The Korean Conflict where he received the Purple Heart and many other service awards. He was a proud American and was also a member of the Waldron Masonic Lodge #132 F. & A.M.. Tommy leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Catherine (Sims) Pace; five sons, Tom and wife Debbie of Springdale, Arkansas, Mickey and wife Sharon of Boles, Arkansas, Dennis and wife Dawn of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Randy of Springdale, Arkansas, Rocky of Anaheim, California; one sister, Christine Simpson of Fort Worth, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by two brothers, Paul Pace of Alabama and Charlie Wayne Pace of Oklahoma; and one son, Greg Pace of Waldron, Arkansas. Tommy?s funeral service will be held at the Boles Freewill Baptist Church, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2010 with the Rev. Pat Ray Biggs and Rev. Mike Shaddon, officiating. Interment will be at the Dooley Cemetery in Boles, Arkansas next to his beloved son Greg. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Ryan (Jake Pace), Jackie Gilbert, Justin Payton, Aaron Pace, Robert Cravens and Doug Sims. Tommy touched the hearts of everyone that he ever met. He knew no strangers, and left a lasting and loving impression and caring spirit to everyone. If he knew you, you were called his friend.
