Ted Lee Copeland of Tulsa, Oklahoma (formerly of Gravelly, Arkansas) went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ted was born to Willie Monroe Copeland and Syble (Kitchens) Copeland in Gravelly, Arkansas. Ted was 76 years, 1 month and 4 days old. Ted graduated from Fourche Valley High School in 1953. He was only 16 years old when he went to Tulsa, Oklahoma to begin his adult life of working in public service. He was drafted into the Armed Service and served his country proudly for three years. In later years, Ted?s love, his hobby and his passion was that for the piano. He enjoyed and had a talent for tuning the piano as well refurbish them. Ted also gave many students private piano lessons throughout the years. Some of his favorite piano memories were that of sitting with Floyd Kramer and playing together. It?s been said that Ted could make that Ivory sing. Ted leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sisters, Dorthy Putman and Peggy Buckles both of Waldron, Arkansas, and one brother, Fred D. Copeland and wife Ann of Waldron, Arkansas. Ted is also survived by three step sons, Tommy Bryan, Curt Bryan, and Robbie Bryan all of Oklahmoa. Ted will be missed by all that knew him and the many who?s lives were impacted by him including nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and loved ones. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Syble (Kitchens) Copeland, one brother and sister in law, Dalbert Copeland and Suzie Copeland. Ted?s life celebration will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January, 22 2013 at the Mulberry Freewill Baptist Church in Gravelly, Arkansas with Brother Lacey Minnie, officiating. Interment will follow in Parks Cemetery in Nola, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Ted?s visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
