Shirley Jean Slaughterbeck was called home by her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Oklahoma. Shirley was born October 20, 1936 to the late Dale and Velma (Jones )Wagner in Waldron, Arkansas. Shirley attended the Lake View Park Church of The Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma where she was currently living with her daughter and son in law. As a young girl, Shirley was saved at the First Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. In February of 1957, Shirley married the love of her life, Edward Lee Slaughterbeck. Together they enjoyed 52 years of marriage until he was called home in 2009. Shirley was a long time resident of Waldron, Arkansas. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Cindi Williams and husband Jim of Bethany, Oklahoma, one granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Harris and husband Jared of Yukon, Oklahoma, one grand son Sean Edward Williams and wife Amy of Yukon, Oklahoma, and three great grandchildren, Beckham Williams, Blakely Harris and Kinlee Williams. Shirley is also survived by one brother, Billy Wayne Wagner and wife Amenda of Waldron, Arkansas and brother in law Jim Mourton of Waldron, Arkansas, as well as four nephews: Steve Mourton, Travis Wagner, Clint Wagner and John Ross Wagner. Shirley is also survived by many devoted cousins that were also very special friends. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edward Lee Slaughterbeck, her parents, Dale and Velma Wagner, one brother, D.J. Wagner and a sister, Melba Mourton. Shirley?s life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Point Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Shirley?s pallbearers will be Sean Williams, Beckham Williams, Jared Harris, Steve Mourton, Kenny Johnston, Junior (Wag) Wagner and Billy Wagner. Shirley?s visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
