Shirley Jean (Allen) Scott

Shirley Jean (Allen) Scott of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, April 23, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born August 18, 1955 in Mena, Arkansas to L.C. Allen and Mayrene (Franklin) Allen. She was 62 years old.

Shirley was married to the love of her life, Almus Scott. Together they raised one son and then became treasured grandparents. Twin granddaughters were a blessing to Shirley. She loved taking care of her family and being a housewife. Shirley also enjoyed doing word puzzles.

Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 44 years, Almus Scott of the home, one son, Scotty Scott of Oklahoma and twin granddaughters, Alexus and Haelle of Oklahoma. Shirley is also survived by her siblngs: Kathy Helton, Larry Allen, Donnie Allen, Kenny Allen and wife Lavada, Gary Allen and wife Rose, Troy Allen and David Allen all of Waldron, Arkansas. Shirley will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted including a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and loved ones.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, L.C. and Mayrene Allen, one nephew, Travis Helton and one niece, Charlotte Allen.

Shirley's life celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Bolton and Rev. Diego officiating. Interment will follow in the Freedom Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas.

Shirley's pallbearers will be Dusty Allen, L.C. Allen, Jeremy Summitt, Josh Summitt, Joe Helton and Danny Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Scott, Jamie Helton and Apostolic Lighthouse members.

Shirley's visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas.
