Ruthie Jane Forrest of Waldron, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Waldron, Arkansas. Ruthie was born March 30, 1939 in Rock Springs, Texas to the late Fred Tucker and Annie (Murphree) Tucker. Ruthie was 72 years, 11 months and 25 days old. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and she attended Pilot Prairie Cumberland Presbyterian Church. On December 17, 1955 Ruthie married the love of her life, Everett Forrest. Together they made a life in Waldron, Arkansas and this is where they raised their five children. Together with her sister Ada Lee, Ruthie run the Quapaw Restaurant out on Hwy 71 for many years. When she wasn?t tending to her family she could be found doing what she enjoyed as a hobby and that was working in her yard and singing. Ruthie also enjoyed looking at fossils and rock shapes and the things of God?s creation. Ruthie?s greatest love was her family. She took great pride in each and everyone of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love for each of them was always very obvious. Ruthie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 56 years, Everett J. Forrest of Waldron, Arkansas, two daughters, Barbara LeeAnn Forrest of Waldron, Arkansas and Shelba Fay Mullins and husband Mark of Hope, Arkansas, one son, Stanley Ray Forrest and wife Mary of Waldron, Arkansas. Grandma will be forever missed by five granddaughters, Wendy Vaught and husband Richard, Misty Wright and husband Dusty, Amanda Warren and husband Brad, Janie Hawthorne and Caitlin Mullins and two grandsons Bryan Forrest and Brandon Hawthorne. Grandma will also be missed by her sweet great grandchildren, Miriah Hawthorne, Eimili Hawthorne and Alexander Vaught. Ruthie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly. Ruthie is preceded in death by not only her parents but also by one daughter, Nancy Jaylene Forrest, and one son Jimmy Darrell Forrest. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Lealda Tucker and Ada Lee Forrest and six brothers, J.T., Audrey, Glen, Burl, Freddy and Harvey Tucker. Ruthie?s celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Jack Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Ruthie?s pallbearers will be Russell Forrest, Harvel Tucker, Cole Tucker, Bruce Owens, Richard Vaught and Bryan Forrest. Honorary pallbearers will be Elwon Forrest and Mark Mullins. Ruthie?s visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. Ruthie?s family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
