Ronald Rainwater

Ronald D. Rainwater of Nella, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Nella, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born December 28, 1945 to YZ Rainwater and May Evelyn (Harrison) Rainwater in Vidor, Texas. Ronald was 67 years, 6 months and 2 days old. Ronald was retired from the railroad where he was a painter and a welder. After retirement he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Ronald was the happiest when was working in his yard. He loved a well maintained place and took pride in his work. However, when he got to put on the grandpa hat, took precedence over all else. He was most excited to get to see his grandbabies and spend precious time with each and everyone of them. He loved them and the memories they made together were his prized treasures. Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 21 years, Joyce (Allen) Rainwater of the home, one daughter, Candice of Texas, one son, Ronald Lee Rainwater of Minnesota, one step son, Michael Adaway and wife Brianna of Nella, Arkansas. PaPaw will forever be missed by three grandsons: David Rainwater, Timothy Cantrell and Ron Cantrell of Missouri and three granddaughters: Samantha (Watley) Adaway of Texas, Kymberlee Adaway and Anabell Marie Adaway, both of Waldron, Arkansas. Ronald is also survived by three sisters: Verlene of Louisiana, Mary of Texas, and Martie of Louisiana and one brother, Don Adon of Louisiana. Ronald will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, neighbors and loved ones. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, YZ and May Rainwater, one sister, Margaret Ann, five and brothers: Cecil, Mike, Tommy, J.W., and Raymond. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
