Robert Minton

Robert E. Minton of Harvey, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, October 4, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born October 11, 1932 to Robert Minton and Nessie (Holmes) Minton in Story, Arkansas. Robert was 79 years, 11 months and 23 days old. On November 12, 1976 Robert married the love of his life, Margaret. Together they lived in Harvey, Arkansas and made a home and raised a family for 35 years. Until his retirement, Robert worked in the timber industry. First and foremost Robert loved his family. Robert was a kind and caring person who loved doing anything for anyone he could. When Robert wasn?t helping out a neighbor, his hobby was hunting and listening to his dogs run. He knew his dogs by their bark. Robert leaves behind his loving wife, Margaret of the home, and one daughter Treccie Price and husband William of Rover, Arkansas. Robert is also survived by two grandchildren, Christy Griffin and husband Michael of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Rebecca Gustin and husband Clark of Alakanuk, Alaska, four great grandchildren, Jacob, Troy and Ashlyn Griffin, and Emma Gustin, and one brother, Ezra Minton of Story, Arkansas. Robert will be missed by a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends that Robert cherished throughout the years. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nessie (Holmes) Minton. Robert?s life celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Harvey Assembly of God Church in Harvey, Arkansas with Rev. Kevin L. Kilbreth officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroe Cemetery in Harvey, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Robert?s pallbearers will be Lamion Shores, William Price, Rickey Shores, Michael Griffin, Jim Minton, and Adolfo Silva. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Atchley, Raymond Clopton and TJ Shores. Robert?s visitation will be Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Robert?s family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
