Rickey Watson

Rick Lynn Watson, 50, went to be with our Lord on May 28, 2009. He was born in Mena, Arkansas on February 12, 1959. Rick had just moved back to Waldron after living in Bastrop, Louisiana for 25 years where he was an electrical technician for International Paper Company.
Early in life he loved baseball and pitched for the Waldron Bulldogs and Carl Albert Community College. He later graduated from Okmulgee Technical School in 1984. Rick was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Bastrop, Louisiana and enjoyed spending his vacation helping with vacation bible school. He loved deep-sea fishing and cooking Cajun food. Rick was known for his wonderful personality, big heart, loving his family, and having lots of friends.
He is survived by the light of his life, his daughter Taylor Lynne Watson of Bastrop, Louisiana, and her sisters Morgan and Madison McGuire, his parents Billy and Nadine Watson of Waldron, Two brothers: Marty Watson and wife Ceriln of Kansas City, Mo, Raymon and wife Frankie of Waldron, Two sisters Toni Dozier and husband Allen of Waldron, Tina Johnson and husband Robert of Bella Vista, 6 nieces, 10 nephews, 4 great nieces, 1 great nephew, and his best friend since Junior High, Dave Parker.
Rick?s funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30th at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Larry Free and Rick's father Billy Watson, officiating with interment in the Cedar Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Rick?s pallbearers will be Dave Parker, Robert Johnson, Allen Dozier, Mark Watson, Tyler Johnson, Daniel Watson, Mike Hogan, and Keith Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rick's good friends Steve McGuire and Tony Parsons.
Rick?s visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2009 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Rick?s family will receive friends at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Friday evening from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m..
