Reno Frizzell

Reno Benton Frizzell of Roland, Oklahoma, formerly of Waldron, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in Arkoma, Oklahoma. Reno was born June 6, 1919 to Daniel Boone Frizzell and Cara (Roach) Frizzell in Waldron, Arkansas. Reno was 92 years, 8 months and 20 days old. Reno was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. Reno joined the United States Army when he was only 22 years old. He served his country for four years as a combat infantryman. For a while he was in the South Pacific. During his time as a soldier he was decorated with awards that included a Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Ribbon, AP Service Ribbon and two Bronze Service Stars. In 1947 he married the love of his life, Nell Balentine. They were married in the Nazarene Church in Waldron, Arkansas. They later moved to Arizona where they lived for many years. Reno worked as a truck driver for a mining company. It was then he took to the hobby of deer hunting. After returning to Arkansas after retirement he enjoyed a chance to squirrel hunt. More especially he loved to build things. His family was how he really enjoyed spending his time. His love for them was evident in the way he cared for each of them. Reno leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 64 years, Nell of the home, one son, Danny Frizzell and wife Vickie of Muldrow, Oklahoma and one daughter in law, Swanna Frizzell of Waldron, Arkansas. ?Reno? will be greatly missed by three grandchildren, Lacey Keith, Amber Frizzell and Adam Frizzell and one great grandchild, Tracey Keith. Reno is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Cara Frizzell, one son James Frizzell, and brothers, Lois Frizzell and D.B. Frizzell. Reno?s celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Mike Galinato officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Reno?s pallbearers will be Bill Lane, Larry Robertson, Larry Dyer and Tim Keith. Reno?s visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. Reno?s family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
