Reatha May Hughes Wilson, age 84, of Waldron, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 surrounded by people who loved her. Reatha was born in Atoka, Oklahoma on September 9, 1929 to Herbert Leroy "Roy" and Ola Ida Tobey Hughes.
She was the mother of nine children Charles (and Kathleen) Spears of Waldron, Donna Kociemba of Butte Meadows, California, Rita Hoffman, David Spears, Thomas Spears (and Richard Dituri) of Tulare, California, Reatha Joy Spears of Merced, CA, Kerry (and Leita) Spears of Washington, Arkansas the children of Charley Spears and Billy Johnson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, (Christine Johnson of Sims, Arkansas), and Andrea Vallejo of Mt. Ida, Arkansas the children of Bill Johnson.
Loving grandmother to April Dawson, Chuck Spears Jr, Ruby Long, TJ Hazelwood, Jessica Trager, Tommy Hoffman, Reatha Soden, Angela Harrington, Rhonda Hoffman, Gina Hoffman, Dominick Kociemba, Debbie Davis, Robert "BJ" Spears, Nick Spears, David Spears, Kristen Mack, Jessica Gilbert, Jeremy Johnson, Corey Johnson, Brianna Johnson, Austin Johnson, Abby Johnson, Emma Johnson, Elli Johnson, Jake Lappin, and Joel Lappin, 31 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.Surviving Siblings: Royce Haguewood, Bob Hughes, and Alford Hughes. Loving friend and caregiver: Liz Venable.
Reatha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cloyde Wilson, her parents, Roy and Ola Hughes, two children, Rita Hoffman and David Spears and siblings: Leo, Glenda, Marion, Muriel, Fred, in addition to two sisters and one brother who died in infancy.
Reatha's memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 409 Heather St, Waldron, Arkansas with a private burial in Stanley Cemetery in Mt. Ida, Arkansas at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
