Raymond Slater

Raymond C. "Toby" Slater, 66, of Waldron, AR passed from this life Thursday, July 7, 2011 at his home. Raymond was born January 2, 1945 in Waldron, AR to Charlie Slater and Edna Elizabeth (McEntire) Slater. Raymond is survived by his wife Edith Slater of the home, three sons; Mickey Slater and wife Shannon of Waldron, Arkansas, Mark Slater and wife Deana Slater of Clinton, Arkansas, Lynn Slater and wife Jodie of Waldron, Arkansas, four grandchildren; Alex, Brittany, Darrin, and Korbin Slater, one sister, Helen Hayden and husband Jim of Danville, Arkansas, one brother, Charles Leoy Slater and wife Joyce of Waldron, Arkansas and his mother Edna E Slater of Danville, Arkansas. Raymond is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Slater. Raymond 's funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God with Brother Rickey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Lamb Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Austin Jacob, Roger Owens, Jimmy "Link" Yandell, Donnie Yandell, Bob Slater, and Freddie McEntire. Raymond's visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, AR... His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
