R C Maxell, 81, of Cross Creek, Arkansas passed from this life Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital. R C was born February 3, 1930 in Cove, Arkansas to the late Kile and Mae (House) Maxell. He was a member of the Winfield Baptist Church, retired from the Waldron Public School and a life time rancher. R C leaves behind a loving family that includes his wife, Wanda Dean Maxell of the home; two daughters, Connie Maxell of Waldron, Arkansas, Melitta Maxell McCorkle of Greenwood, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Elizabeth McCorkle of Greenwood, Arkansas; one grandson, Chris McCorkle and wife, Amanda of Greenwood, Arkansas; one great-grandson, Declan McCorkle. He is also survived by two sisters; Estee Larson of Sherman, Texas; Marsha McGee and husband John of Gainsville, Texas. R C was preceded in death in addition to his parents by one sister, Ellen Pilcher, and two brothers, Buddy Maxell and Jimmy Maxell. R C?s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Dobson, officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Sehorn Cemetery in Winfield, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. His pallbearers will be Phil Miller, Dale Miller, Scott Clements, Dale Suttles, David Byford and Billy Jack Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Maxwell and Jesse Stringer. R C?s visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
