R. "Buddy" Morgan

R. F. ?Buddy? Morgan, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, October 29, 2012 in Boles, Arkansas, surrounded by his loving family. Buddy was born September 20, 1928 to Richard Phillip Morgan and Clara Ellen (Rose) Morgan. Buddy was 84 years, 1 month and 9 days old. Buddy proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Buddy was a member of the Keener Freewill Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. For many years Buddy raised and loved hound dogs. Buddy worked for 35 years as an Iron Worker. He was a lifetime member of United Iron Workers Local 321. After his retirement Buddy did some farming. Buddy loved his family and being ?Paw? to Gus was the light of his life. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sondra Jean Morgan and one son, George Morgan, and his parents. Buddy leaves behind to cherish his memory, a special friend, Lois Staggs of Keener, Arkansas, three children, Angela Tallmadge and husband David of Boles, Arkansas, James Ray Morgan of Boles, Arkansas and Rebecca Billings and husband James of Waldron, Arkansas. Paw will be forever missed by one grandson, Gus Billings of Waldron, Arkansas and one sister, Janice Rogers of Mena, Arkansas. Buddy?s life celebration and graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Buffalo Cemetery with Rev. J.A. Hunnicutt, officiating. Interment will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery in Boles, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Buddy?s pallbearers will be Ron Bruton, Dub Rose, Carl Lockhart, Jim Lee, Bill Hunt and Richard Cagle. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Isham. Buddy?s visitation will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Buddy?s family and friends. Memorial Contributions may be made to Buffalo Cemetery, c/o Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, PO Box 358, Waldron, AR 72958.
