Pearlie Mae (Smith) Owens of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Pearlie was born, September 10, 1924 to George Phillips and Rosetta (Potts) Phillips in Parks, Arkansas. Pearlie Mae loved to be on the go. She was happiest when she was doing something. The opportunity to drive the bus for the Waldron Senior Center, which she enjoyed for about seven years, was right up her alley. She attended the senior center and loved to play cards with the people there. Pearlie enjoyed going to auctions and another favorite past time was eating snow cones. Pearlie loved her family and enjoyed making memories with each of them. Pearlie Mae leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, JoAnn Harrison of Waldron, Arkansas, and Delores Beran and husband Ronnie of Mansfield, Arkansas and one step son, Olen (Bookie) Owens of Waldron, Arkansas. Grandma will forever be missed by her six grandchildren: Ray Harrison and Cherish of Waldron, Arkansas, Kevin Harrison of Waldron, Arkansas and Shelly Wright of Hartford, Arkansas, as well as six great grandchildren: Alex Wright of Hartford, Arkansas, Ashley Solley and husband Cody, Conner Harrison, and one great great grand daughter , Ryleigh Harrison all of Waldron, Arkansas. Pearlie Mae is preceded in death by two husbands, Bill Smith and Tomie Owens, and one son, Johnny Smith as well as her parents, George and Rosetta Phillips. Pearlie Mae?s life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Millard Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in the Freedom Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Pearlie Mae?s pallbearers will be Ray Harrison, Kevin Harrison, Alex Wright, Bob Shores, Larry Shores and Daniel Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Poole and friends from Waldron Senior Citizens Center. Pearlie?s visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Pearlie?s family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m..
