It is with sad hearts that we report the passing of Paul Hunter Hillier on May 13, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Paul was born 66 years ago to the late Rev. David and Dorothy Hillier in Forrest City, Arkansas.
Paul proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Army. In his civilian life he worked in the construction field, hunted deer, caught bass, grew enough vegetables to feed many friends and helped with church projects. he used to tell us that he was "born to work", and indeed, he was the hardest worker we have ever known.
Paul is survived by his wife Barbara of 31 years, a daughter, Vickie Hillier of Houston, Texas, a son, Kevin Hillier and daughter-in-law Tonya of Waldron, Arkansas. Also a sister, Mary Kirkendoll of Fort Smith, Arkansas and a brother, James Hillier and sister-in-law Marguerite of Texarkana, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Charles Hillier and John Hillier.
Paul was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Ken Boyd officiating. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
