Patsy Jean Ward Wright, of Y-City went home to be with the Lord, her parents Heck and Martha Ward, her sister Lathell Shaddon and brother Darrell Ward on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital. She was born December 10, 1947 in Mena, Arkansas.
Patsy was retired from Waitressing, Hairdresser, Insurance Agent, Home Health Care and Y-City Fire Fighter Training Officer. Patsy?s big, loving heart was known by everyone who knew her. Her love for flowers and gardening was clearly visible in her yard. She was a member of the Boles Southern Baptist Church and loved music.
Patsy left behind only for a time before reuniting in heaven a loving family, a daughter, Cassaundra and husband Steve Holmes; a son, Kevin and wife Dana Wright; three grandchildren, Kassie Holmes, Kolten and Darci Wright all of Waldron, Arkansas.
She is also survived by a nephew Gary and wife Jennifer Shaddon, a great nephew, Jamie Shaddon all of Y-City, Arkansas; a great niece Vanessa and Husband Jimmie Lamproe of Rudy, Arkansas, and a sister-in-law, Clairene Ward of Mena, Arkansas.
Patsy?s funeral service will be Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chant Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Mike Shaddon, officiating, with interment in the Chant Cemetery under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Wright, Gary Shaddon, Steve Holmes, Kolten Wright, Thomas Wright, Jamie Shaddon, Darrell Burdess, and Travis Burdess.
Her honorary pallbearers will be members of the Y-City Volunteer Fire Department.
Patsy?s visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
