Patricia McCollum, (Ret SGT US Army), born September 22, 1946, passed on May 3, 2020, at 73 years of age. WAC and Vietnam War Era Vet, she was proud to represent this country and soldiers. She also graduated from college, multiple times, while battling cancer and other related health issues. She would not let her gender or illness keep her from succeeding.
She is survived by her two daughters: Johanna Fair of Hot Springs Village, AR and Shannon (Adam) Davis of Phenix City, AL. Two grandchildren: Valina (Brent) Deckard of Jonesboro, AR, and Randal Fair of Hot Springs, AR. Nephew Derik Pridmore of Muldrow, OK. She was preceded in death by her mother: Kathleen Nelson and step-father BJ Nelson of Waldron, AR, her father: James W. Pridmore of Sacramento, CA, and brother: Ray Pridmore of Muldrow, OK.
She inspired women and young girls through her military career and higher education, showing through example, that you can be anything you want to be.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
