Patricia ?Pat? Ann Brooks went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Waldron, Arkansas. Pat was born February 26, 1939 to John Windebank and Helen (Mushina) Windebank in Chicago, Illinois. Pat was 73 years, 6 months and 2 days old. Pat was a member of Haw Creek Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas. She was a devoted christian and her faith in God was evident. Pat, also known as Miss Pat by some at church, was very involved in singing in her church choir. She helped the children to put together special songs to sing at church, she worked with the children?s Christmas program each year and she loved to share with others about what the Lord had done in her life. Miss Pat was a strong believer and an inspiration to all. Pat served as Commissioner of the State of Arkansas, Arkansas Veterans Commission and Treasurer of the Arkansas State Veteran?s Cemetery Beautification Foundation. She loved doing her volunteer work. After Pat retired her artist brush, she began to collect jewelry. Pat leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Cathy Reppert of Wisconsin, Cheryl Reeves of Oregon and Caren Crawley and husband Billy Don of Booneville, Arkansas. Grandma is also survived by seven grandchildren and one sister. Pat, Miss Pat and Grandma will be deeply missed by many many friends and loved ones. Pat is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Brooks, her parents John and Helen Windebank and one sister. Pat?s life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. John Elmore officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Pat?s pallbearers will be Bud Sims, Mac Lee, Buzz Sigman, Matthew Hibbs, Brent Keener and Wayne Crawley. Pat?s visitation will be Friday, August 31, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
