Milva Jane Davenport, 82, of Barling, AR passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 in a Ft. Smith Arkansas hospital with family at her bedside.
Milva was born in Fayette, AL on March 12, 1927.
Milva was a member of the Mt. Moriah Community Church in Haletown, Arkansas.
She was a supervisor with Levi Strass Company for 25 years and then retired.
Milva is survived by a daughter, Patricia Davenport Patterson of Ft. Smith Arkansas; a son, Pat Ray Davenport and wife Beverly of Farmington, Arkansas; four granddaughters, Sheila Sikes and husband Bruce of Caulksville, AR, Paige Lewis and husband Mike of Ft. Smith, AR, Julie Thompson and husband Dan of Farmington, AR, Liberty Madwell and husband Lance; one grandson, Dr. Chip Patterson and wife Anne of Springhill, TN, four great grandsons and six great granddaughters; four nephews and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earsel Davenport.
Milva?s funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Reynolds and Rev. David Hines officiating with interment in the Mt. Moriah Cemetary under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Her visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, April 19, 2009 and 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Pat Ray Davenport, Dr. Chip Patterson, Butch Morgan, Seth Sikes, Bruce Sikes, and Dan Thompson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Sutter Thompson, Elliott Thompson, Carter Patterson, O.B. Gladden, Jerry Gladden, Larry Gladden, and Patrick Gladden.
