Mike Vanhdy Lathana

Mike Vanhdy Lathana passed from this life on Monday, May 29, 2017 in Waldron, Arkansas. Mike was born November 3, 1945 in Muang Sing, Laos to Saeng and Namkham Lathana. He was 71 years old.

Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Diane Lathana; two daughters, Khamin Lathana and Kimmie Lathana; and one son, Jason Lathana.

Mike was kind, humble, patient, and selfless to the end. He served as a Buddhist monk and Lao soldier. He was one of the founders of Ban Doy Daeng, Laos and was its first village head. He brought his family, including his two youngest brothers, to the U.S. to keep them safe and to start a new life. Mike worked tirelessly to provide for his family and to ensure their best future. He will be greatly missed.

His visitations will be Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Mike's Celebration of Life Service will also be held, 12:00 noon, Saturday June 3, 2017 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas.
