Melba J. Wright, 68, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from the life Sunday, June 28, 2009 in a Waldron, Arkansas hospital.
Melba was born October 20, 1940 in Plainview, Texas to the late Lester, SR, and Iva (Pritchard) Ferguson.
She retired from the Waldron Public Schools after 26 years of service, was a member of the Waldron First Church of the Nazarene, and Nazarene World International where she was the local past president.
Melba is survived by one son, Dan Wright and wife Belinda of Waldron, Arkansas; one daughter, Melissa Haralson and husband, Kevin of Atkins, Arkansas; grandchildren, Dustin and Megan Wright of Waldron, Arkansas, Kristina Wright of Mooresville, NC., Kayla and Rachel Haralson of Atkins, Arkansas.
She is also survived by a sister, Carol Pettijohn of Coppell, TX, two brother, Lester Ferguson and wife Elaine of Lubbock, TX, Burt Ferguson and wife Sue of Odessa, TX, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hoyt R. Wright, a son Kyle Wright, daughter-in-law, Leslie Wright, and brother-in-law, Walter Pettijohn.
Melba?s funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the Waldron First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Marvin Fredrick, officiating with interment in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas
Melba?s pallbearers will be Kerry Barnett, David Sikes, Bill ?Boney? Hunt, Danny Rhyne, Benny Newberry, Mike Shaddon.

Melba?s visitation will be 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 and 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the funeral home.
Melba?s family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday July 1, 2009 at the funeral home.
