Mary Evelyn Dickens of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Friday, February 3, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mary was born May 12, 1941 in Booneville, Arkansas to the late Claude A. Dickens and Corda Lee Gilkey Dickens. Mary was 70 years, 8 months, and 22 days old. Mary attended the Waldron First Assembly of God Church. Mary worked for 10 years in Little Rock, Arkansas in a nursing home. When she wasn?t working Mary could be found fishing anywhere the fish was biting. She enjoyed listening to records and without to much twisting of her arm she could be persuaded to go shopping. In her retirment years, Mary loved taking care of her cat and watching television. Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son Les Ming of Bauxite, Arkansas and three grandchildren Alex, Kylie and Leslie Ming. Mary is also survived by two sisters Pat Mcfarland of Waldron, Arkansas and Minnie Owen of Barling, Arkansas and one brother Sam Dickens of Alma, Arkansas. Mary will forever be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and close dear friends. Mary?s life celebration will be Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Union Hill Cemetery in Union Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Mary?s visitation will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas. Mary?s pallbearers will be Norman Holt, Travis McCubbin, Roudy Perez, James Lee Holt, Terry Joe Holt and Robin Singleton.
