Martin B. Bard, 65, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Sunday September 19, 2010 in Pierce City, Missouri.

Martin was born March 6, 1945 in Long Beach, California Naval Hospital to Jack and Helen (Martin) Bard. Martin was a veteran having served six years in the Naval Construction Battalion and 12 years in the U.S. Army. Martin was a Christian and member of the Evening Shade Southern Baptist Church

He is survived by his father Jack Bard of Waldron; three sons, John Bard of Mena, Arkansas, Richard Bard of Waldron, and Justin Bard of Hanover.

Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Kilgore Bard, and his mother Helen Bard.

Martin?s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Evening Shade Southern Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Whedbee, officiating.
Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, in the U.S. National Cemetery, in Fort Smith, Arkansas with military honors. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron.

His pallbearers will be John Bard, Richard Bard, Justin Bard, Steve Henry, Buddy Slaten, and Scott Hobbs.

Martin?s visitation will be 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
