Mark Damon Curtis of Fort Smith, Arkansas, formerly of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born August 14, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Edgar Alford Curtis Jr and Patricia Ann Curtis. Mark was 55 years, 3 months and 1 day old. Mark was a longtime member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church.
Mark loved the outdoors. He enjoyed turkey hunting and deer hunting. He also enjoyed feeding the birds when he was outside. He had knack for growing Jalapeno Peppers in his garden. Mark worked at Baldor for many wonderful years. He made many great friends and had a lot of memorable moments but none compared to the special times and unforgettable memories made with his children and family. Mark was proud of his children and loved them very much.
Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Patricia Ann of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, one daughter, Erin Curtis of Waldron, Arkansas, one son, Alec Curtis of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, one brother, Ed Curtis of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and one niece, Paiten Curtis of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mark will forever remain in the hearts of everyone that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including an extended circle of friends, hunting buddies, and loved ones close to his heart.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Curtis Jr.
Mark's life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Freedom Freewill Baptist Church in Freedom, Arkansas, near Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Mike Galinato and Rev. Ray Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Freedom Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Mark's pallbearers will be Tommy Shumaker, Zac Galinato, Greg Ridenhour, Shawn Hattabaugh, Jerald Hattabaugh and Garrett Glenn.
Mark's visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Mark's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
