"Marcine" Newberry

November 28, 1930 — July 17, 2013

Marcine (Taff) Newberry of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Marcine was born November 28, 1930 to Argus Thomas Taff and Emily Francis (Gimlin) Taff. Marcine was 82 years, 7 months and 19 days old. Marcine was born on a home place just South East of where the Sodie Davidson swimming pool is now located. She would run and play where children now swim and play. Marcine married the love of her life, Charles Newberry, when she was just a youngster. Together they enjoyed 51 years and 10 months of wedded bliss before Charles passed from this life. Marcine enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She loved flowers and she loved being around people and family. Marcine never spoke a bad word about anyone or anything. She was a kind hearted woman with a radiating glow of warmth and compassion that loved everyone. She opened her home not only to her family, but also to friends and neighbors and her neighbors children. Marcine looked forward to her home bubbling with little giggles and big bright smiles from all the little children. Everyone enjoyed being around Marcine and her sweet disposition. Marcine leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Patsy Walker and husband Tom of Waldron, Arkansas, Sharon Williams and husband Dale of Waldron, Arkansas, and Pam Davis and husband Stan of Waldron, Arkansas and one son Jerry Newberry and wife Janice of Waldron, Arkansas and one brother, Larry Taff of Waldron, Arkansas. Grandma or Granny will forever be missed by her ten grandchildren: Russell Walker and wife Paula of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Angie Brown and husband Kevin of Sherwood, Arkansas, Tammy Gilbert and husband Marty of Waldron, Arkansas, Shawn Williams and wife Sandra of Waldron, Arkansas, Sonya Nix and husband Cody of Heavener, Oklahoma, Tresha Diffee and husband Greg of Jackson, Tennessee, Vicki Howell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Travis Newberry and wife Brenda of Greenwood, Arkansas, Brian Davis and wife Traci of Springdale, Arkansas and Brad Davis and wife Belinda of Rogers, Arkansas. Nee Naw had 44 great grandchildren as well as 12 great great grandchildren with two more to be added by the end of the year. Marcine will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and loved ones. Marcine is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Newberry, one son, David Newberry, her parents, Argus and Emily Taff, one brother, Junior Taff, and sisters: Betty Sparks, Doris Watts, Louise Holt and Penny Snodgrass. . Marcine?s life celebration will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Dale Williams and Ray Jett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. Marcine?s pallbearers will be Russell Walker, Greg Diffee, Marty Gilbert, Cody Nix, Shawn Williams, Dickie Newberry, Brian Davis and Brad Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Taff, Kevin Brown, Jerry Ronald Newberry, Larry Charles Rice, Lester Tucker, Neal Sparks, Travis Newberry, Eugene Taff and Pepper Mitchell. Marcine?s visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Marcine?s family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Vanessa Reed, P.O. Box 813, Waldron, AR 72958 or St. Jude?s Children?s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
