Lynn Austin Marshall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formerly of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Savior, Saturday, June 8, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Lynn was born October 29, 1944 to Joe Bob and Marian (Johnson) Austin. Lynn was 68 years, 7 months and 10 days old. Lynn moved to Oklahoma City to be close to daughter, son-in-law and grandson when her health began to fail in February 2006. She formally owned and operated Woodstock Kennels in Waldron where she loved taking care of others beloved pets. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses and carrying the flag in the Waldron Quadrille. She also was a draftsman and drew the plans for several businesses in Waldron as well as worked at STI. For many years Lynn was involved in AKC dog shows where she showed her Borzois (Russian Wolfhounds), her Papillion and she also helped Sarah with her standard poodles. She was also involved with the Ft. Smith Kennel Club where she worked with other members to host AKC dog shows. She enjoyed watching her grandson play ice hockey. Lynn will be dearly missed. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter: Sarah Lynn (Marshall) Schmidt and husband Tom. Granny will be missed dearly by her grandson Austin. Lynn is survived by her mother, Marian, two brothers: Robert (Spud) Austin, wife Rita and Joe Michael Austin and wife Sue. Lynn will be missed by all who knew her and by the many whose lives she touched, including a number of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Lynn is preceded in death by her father, Joe Bob Austin. A graveside service will be at the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
