Lucille V. (Gallimore) Johnson of Huntington, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas surrounded by loving family. Lucille was born March 15, 1927 in Elm Park, Arkansas to Johnny Lee Gallimore and Mattie (Jones) Gallimore. Lucille was 91 years, 1 month and 2 days young.
Lucille was a loving and kind lady. She was embraced by all that came in contact with her, She enjoyed talking with everyone and you could feel the love she had for life. Lucille enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds and going to yard sales. She especially had a way in the kitchen. She truly loved to cook and then she took pride in being able to share her recipes with her grandchildren. Lucille loved her family and looked forward to every chance to spend precious time with each of them.
Lucille leaves behind to cherish her memory, three children: Ramona Abernathy and husband Wade of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Therrell Johnson of Mulberry, Arkansas and Margaret Inge of Greenwood, Arkansas. Grandma will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Daris Silvey, Kevin Silvey, Steven Silvey, Marvin Inge Jr., Jennifer Johnson, Dana Froud, Jesse Johnson, Crystal Mort, Lucinda Johnson and Waylon Abernathy III and fiance' Tori Eubanks as well as many great grandchildren. Lucille is also survived by her siblings: John Gallimore of Mansfield, Arkansas, Eva Brooks of Santa Rosa, California, Johnnie Sue Rogers of Waldron, Arkansas and Eddie Haskins of Grass Valley, California. Lucille will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted including a host of extended family, friends, neighbors and loved ones dear to her heart.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Mattie Gallimore, two sons: Jerrell Johnson and James Terry Johnson, three siblings: Linda, JoAnn and Jimmie.
Lucille's life celebration will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Freedom Freewill Baptist Church in Freedom, Arkansas with Rev. J.L. Bonds officiating. Interment will follow in the Freedom Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Lucille's pallbearers will be Jeremy Howard, Bryan Roberts, Eddie Haskins, Jesse Johnson, Waylon Abernathy III and Wade Abernathy.
Lucille's visitation will be Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
