Lonnie Joe Payne of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Sunday, July 28, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Lonnie was born October 2, 1955 to Gerald Payne and Donna Gates in Magnolia, Arkansas. Lonnie was 57 years, 9 months and 26 days old. Lonnie proudly served in the United States Army for 13 years. He served as a co-pilot on a helicopter during chemical warfare. After his tenture in the military, Lonnie worked in the construction field as a brick layer. His hobby was working on motorcycles and riding motorcycles. Lonnie leaves behind to cherish his memory, four daughters: Shawn McEntire and husband Sheldon of Waldron, Arkansas, Dee Oliver and husband Jessie of Vandervoort, Arkansas, Sophia Payne & Katarina Payne of Germany. Lonnie is also survived by one sister, Vickie Payne. Grandpa will forever be missed by six grandchildren. Lonnie will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and loved ones. Lonnie is preceded in death by, his parents, Gerald and Donna Payne, paternal grandparents, Opal & Rhea Payne and one brother, Jerry Payne. A life celebration memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Rickey Hunt officiating. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
