Lon William Manning, Jr., 51, of Scranton, Arkansas passed from this life Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in a Fort Smith hospital.
Lon was born September 29, 1959 in Houston, Texas to Lon William Manning, Sr. and Stella Ann (Holstein) Manning. He was retired from the U. S. Navy, and was employed by Sears.
Lon is survived by his wife, Debra Manning of the home; two daughters, Loni Schroeder and Beth Manning both of the home; one son, Joshua Manning of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren, Tyler Schroeder and Chloe Manning.
He is also survived by his mother, Stella Manning of Dardanelle, Arkansas; one sister Anna Manning of Dardanelle, Arkansas; and one brother, Richard Manning of Dardanelle, Arkansas.
Lon is preceded in death by his father, Lon William Manning, Sr..
Lon?s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Reynolds, officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
His pallbearers will be Richard Manning, Jimmy Foster, Michael Manning, Van Massey, Gary Johnson and Steve Stice.
Lon?s visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
