Lloyd Ray McCullah, 69, of Waldron. passed away Friday, January 2nd, 2009 in a Fort Smith hospital.
Lloyd was born in Cedar Creek, AR on May 31, 1939, the son of the late John M. and June (Tinsley) McCullah.
He was a member of the Waldron First Baptist Church and attended Southside Baptist Church in Waldron for several years. He was a member of the Waldron Masonic Lodge #132, a 32o Mason, and a member of Scott County Rural Water Board.
Lloyd enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He was retired from Tyson and Wal-Mart. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 41 years Chris (Cheesman) McCullah; a daughter, Stephanie Lowery and husband Ron of Paris, Arkansas; a son, Johnny McCullah of Waldron, Arkansas; 3 grandsons, Jerad Owens, Jace Owens, Blaine McCullah; 3 granddaughters, Kyla Owens, Amber McCullah, Mystri McCullah; 1 great granddaughter, Ashlynn Owens.
Lloyd is also survived by a sister, Faye Rogers of Y-City, Arkansas; 3 brothers, James McCullah and wife Mary Lou of Grand Junction, CO, John and wife Marlene of Marquette, MI, and Floyd McCullah of Cedar Creek, AR; a sister in law, Mikki McCullah of Parks, AR and a host of other family and friends.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and June (Tinsley) McCullah, a brother Wendell McCullah, and a brother in law Charlie (Short) Rogers.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M.. to 9:00 P.M. on Monday, January 5th, at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 5th.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 6th at 2:00 P.M. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Hunt and Rev. Mike Shaddon officiating with burial at Cedar Creek Cemetery with Masonic rites under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron.
Pallbearers will be Howard Himes, Allen Dickens, Sam Slater, Robert Taff, Vestal Taff, and David Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Waldron Masonic Lodge # 132, 32o Masons and members of the Scott County Rural Water Board.
