Linda Hill of Heavener, OK went on to be with her Lord and Savior on May 11, 2011 at her home. Born in Bates, AR on June 25,1948, the youngest child of Edd and Talitha (Thompson) Pottridge, she was 62 years old. Linda was a member of the Waldron High School class of 1966 and the Bates First Assembly of God Church. She was an accomplished piano player and she used her talent as church pianist for over 40 years. She also ministered with her beautiful voice as a founding member of the gospel group "The Master's Family." She traveled to local churches for over 35 year with her husband Gene. She loved to garden and her yard was her passion. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She made each one feel special and loved, knowing that they were "one" of her favorites. Linda is survived by Gene Hill, her loving husband of 45 years, of Heavener, Ok., two children, Le Ann and husband Paul Atchley of Waldron, AR and Doug and wife Lori Hill of Howe, OK. Seven grandchildren, Garrett and Josh Atchley of Waldron, AR, Chasten Jarrod, and Tanner Hill of Howe, OK, Cindy Leatherwood and Heather Rasberry of Poteau, OK, and one great-granddaughter, Logan Leatherwood. She is also survived by five siblings, Twilla Maxwell of Oklahoma City, OK, Betty Stafford of Bates, AR, Gene Pottridge of Howe, Ok, Shirley Brothers of Plainview, and Gary Pottridge of Bates, AR. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leon and Doss Pottridge, and one sister, Peggy Bennett. Linda?s life celebration service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Heavener First Baptist Church with Rev. Rickey Hunt and Bro. Jason Goshorn officiating. Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery in Bates, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Linda?s pallbearers will be Garrett Atchley, Josh Atchley, Chasten Hill, Jarrod Hill, Jarrod Nix and Toby Nix. Her honorary pallbearer will be Tanner Hill. Linda?s visitation will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
