Linda Mae Batterton of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Monday, April 24, 2017 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born December 11, 1943 in Goree, Texas to William M. Alvey and Dorothy M. (McGarr) Alvey. Linda was 73 years old.
Linda and her husband were notorious for "Papa Ray's BBQ". Linda worked along side him during this adventure. They spent many hours prepping and feeding a lot of people around Waldron and surrounding areas. Linda enjoyed her family. Precious time spent with them made her happy.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her adoring husband, Ray of the home and one daughter, Shannon Plummer and husband Travis of Waldron, Arkansas. Nanny will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Amber Smith, Clayton Batterton, Colton Batterton and Trace Plummer as well as her great grandchildren: Colton Milacek, and Easton Milacek. Linda is also survived by two sisters and two brothers: Nelda Riley, Betty Sue Christiansen, Larry Alvey and Johnny Alvey.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Alvey, one son, Chris Batterton and one sister, Mary Miller.
Linda's life celebration will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
Linda's visitation will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
