Leonard Edwin Ridenhour went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 5, 2014. He said he had his ticket and was just waiting for his time. He passed away at home with his love Deidre and his son Wade. Leonard Ed was born April 23, 1941 to Leonard Ridenhour and Iva Mae (Jett) Ridenhour in Blackfork, Arkansas. He was 73 years, 4 months and 14 days old.
Leonard Ed never had a sad day, even though he suffered for a long time, his positive attitude never wavered. He always told his family, "don't worry about me you know where I'm going". He never found a fault with any of his family or his acquaintances. He made sure that his family knew how much he loved them. They often called him the peacemaker of the family. He spent his life around the auctions and was told over and over that he was the best auctioneer around. Leonard Ed followed his family's passion in the livestock business and left that legacy to his own children. He loved playing card games and especially liked winning. His children today like to tell the stories of how he would play for hours on end. He taught them to have fun, and to live every day to the fullest. He loved life, his family, his Haw Creek Baptist Church family, but mainly he loved his Lord.
Leonard Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Deidre, and children: LeAnn Morgan and husband Butch, Mitchell Ridenhour, Beth Haynie and husband Randy, Lisa Bailey and husband Kris, Wade Ridenhour, Brittany Nelson and James Nelson. Papa leaves his legacy with his grandchildren: Ashton Bailey, Aubrey Bailey, A.J. Bailey, Jacob Morgan, Mandi Falcon, April Rivers, Brooke Rhoades, Samantha Rhoades, Dylan Ridenhour, Rachel Ridenhour and Cameron Stem as well as his great grandchildren: Anthony Falcon, Adrian Falcon, Ava Falcon, Krista Rivers and Landon Rivers.
