L D Yandell

L D Yandell of Harvey, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, January 26, 2015 in Walddron, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. L D was born July 7, 1927 in Scott County Arkansas in the Greenridge Community to Lonnie Yandell and Eva Ella Fair Bayard Yandell. L D was 87 years, 6 months and 19 days old. He was a member of Harvey Assembly of God Church.
L D's first job was at the Forrester Mill and he later became a logging contractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his garden, and his grandchildren. He loved to go to church and spend time with his family and friends.
L D is survived by his wife Virginia of 64 years, three daughters Sharon Evans and husband Larry of Parks, AR, Cathy Barnett and husband Kerry of Waldron, AR and Karen Culbertson and husband Lane of Fort Smith, AR as well as his grandchildren: Travis Evans and wife Hala of Parks, AR, April Shockey and husband Jonathan of Fort Smith, AR, Derek Barnett and wife Krystal of Waldron, AR, and Amber and Rachel Culbertson of Fort Smith AR and three great grandchildren: Hunter, Gage, and Karlie Evans all of Parks, AR. He will be missed by all that knew him, including several cousins, extended family, friends, caring neighbors and loved ones.
L D is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Eva Ella Fair Bayard Yandell. Along with his brothers and sisters: Arliss "Stub" Yandell, Archie Yandell, Nettie Jewel Clink, and Oliga Yandell.
L D's life celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Harvey Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jack Deaton and Rev. Gary Powell, officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroe Cemetery in Harvey, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
L D's pallbearers will be: Travis Evans, Derek Barnett, David Yandell, Jim Rimer, Joe Pickens, and Chris Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be: Adult Sunday school class of Harvey Assembly of God, Brothers-n-law: Joe Maxey, Ules Ray Owens, Phillip Pierce, Jimbo Wise and Rev. Jesse Millard.
L D's visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 where the family will receive friends at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
