L. D. Doyel, 69, of Waldron, AR. passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 in a Waldron, Arkansas nursing home..
L. D. was born in Waldron, Arkansas on June 29, 1939, the son of the late Delmer L. Doyel and Lois M. (Miller) Frazier.
He spent 8 years in the national guard in California. He worked at Hardwood Products Corp for 20 years. Then worked at Tyson for 13 years. He retired from there in 2003. His idea of fun was cleaning up and working on the small place that we own east of Waldron. He loved the Langston Family reunions that we have had.
L. D. is survived by his wife of 46 years Alla Merle of the home; a daughter, Cheryl Jean Muldoon and her husband Johnny of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two sons James David Doyel of Waldron, Arkansas, and Ronald Dee Doyel and wife Vickie of Mulberry, Arkansas.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Cassandra McGriff, Michael McGriff, Kirk McGriff, Brandi Humphries, Brittney Doyel, Ryan Doyel, Jennifer Gonzales; six great grandchildren
L. D. is also survived by four sisters, Katherine Hope of Waldron, Arkansas, Margaret Finney of Waldron, Arkansas, Enola Gay Webber of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Patricia Ann Doyel of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two brothers, Wayne Lee of Aberdeen, MD., Kenneth of Waldron, Arkansas
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Doyel, a great granddaughter, Patience Lachelle Jones, and a brother, Robert (Bob) Doyel.
L. D.?s funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9th, 2009 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Hunt and Rev. Mike Dugan officiating, with interment in the Birdsview Cemetery under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Allen Del Hope, Bobby Owens, Paul Langston, Thomas Langston, Ronnie Coyle, Wes Goodner
Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Young, Buddy Lawrence, Ray Doyle, Nathan Goodner.
Visitation will be Saturday March 7th, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8th, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, March 9th, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to the funeral hour at the funeral home.
