Kenneth "Kenny" Lennier

May 2, 1965 — April 21, 2014

Kenneth (Kenny) W. Lennier, age 48, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in his home. He was a cancer survivor for 10 years until it returned a year ago. Kenny was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.

Kenny was born in Belleville, Illinois May 2, 1965. He grew up in Hackett, AR. He graduated from Van Buren High School in 1982 and attended UAFS. He worked for Whirlpool for 20 years. In 2003, he married the love of his life, Glenda Slagle and they enjoyed 11 1/2 years together. In 2007, they opened Cartridge World of Ft. Smith. This business was his pride and joy. He loved working with his customers who will miss him dearly.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Glenda, of the home, his mother, Shearon Allen of Barling, Arkansas, his father, Ken Fowler and wife Roseann of Pennsylvania, his brothers, Charles Lennier of Greenwood, Arkansas and Tim Templeton of Little Rock, Arkansas, one step-son Derek Richmond and wife Nikita of Fort Smith, Arkansas and father in law, Bob Slagle of Y-City, Arkansas. Kenny was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a strong, intelligent and loving husband, son and brother. Kenny will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Kenny was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph Ingram of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Helen Ingram of Fayetteville, NC.

Kenny's life celebration will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas. Interment will follow in the Chant Lane Cemetery in Y-City, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Kenny's visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, 1879 W. 6th Street, Waldron, Arkansas where Kenny's family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
