Joyce Ann Speaks

Joyce Ann Speaks of Greenwood, Arkansas (formerly of Ft. Smith, Arkansas) went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 with her adoring husband by her side. Joyce was born October 9, 1939 to Julian and Nelma Cox in Alma, Arkansas. She was 78 years old.

Joyce was a stay at home wife and mother, devoted to taking care of their home, her husband, family, and tending to their needs. Joyce loved animals, so many were always a part of the home scene. She always had at least one to care for and love, and share with her family and friends.

Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of more than 50 years, Herman Speaks, Junior, of Greenwood, Arkansas, one daughter, Susie Walker of Hot Springs, Arkansas, step children, Pam Stebbins of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Gary Speaks of Greenwood, Arkansas. Joyce will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Nelma Cox, one son, Shaun Speaks and one step son Larry Speaks.

Joyce's graveside life celebration will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas with Sam Gonzagowski officiating. Interment will follow.
