John Dick Stockton

John Dick Stockton, age 75 of Waldron, Arkansas, formerly of Lamar, Arkansas, passed from this life on April 18, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas. Dick was born September 7, 1942 in Montana, Arkansas to Oscar Buck and Mildred (Ross) Stockton.

John Dick married Doreen Hull on November 10, 1967 in Clarksville, Arkansas. He was a boiler operator and a Navy veteran. John Dick was the kind of man who could make up his mind and do Anything he wanted. He was well versed in astronomy and even more so on being a weather watcher. He loved his grandkids and even assumed several and had a hand in helping raise them. He loved his family time and looked forward to spending time with them all.

John Dick leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years Doreen(Hull)Stockton, one son Donald and wife Dana Stockton of Waldron, Arkansas. Papaw will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren: Corey and wife Katie Feikema of Clarksville, Arkansas, Clayton Stockton and Eric Stockton of Waldron, Arkansas as well as great grandchildren, Emily, Gracie, and Carrie Feikema-Stockton of Clarksville, Arkansas. John Dick is also survived by one brother Joe Buck and wife Marvalee Stockton of Marysville, California, sister in laws Shirley Stockton of Hunt, Arkansas and Janis Hull of Waldron, Arkansas and brother in law John and wife Nancy Hull of Hagarville, Arkansas. John Dick will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including a host of extended family, friends, neighbors and dear loved ones.

John Dick is preceded in death by his parents, his son Doyle Patrick Stockton, brothers Bill Stockton, Harry (Blue) Stockton, and Major Stockton.

John Dick's life celebration will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. Interment will follow in the Pearson Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and honorary grandsons: Corey Feikema, Clayton Stockton, Eric Stockton, Samuel Richmond, Nicholas Barnett, Daly Barnett, Darrin Slater, and Kenny Reay. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Hull, Andrew Hull, Mike Farmer, Tommy Young and John Hull.

John Dick's visitation will be Friday, April 20, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
