JoElla Carpenter, 83, of Y-City, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 8th, 2009 at Waldron, AR.
Jo was born in Mill Creek, Arkansas on April 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Alvie M. and Sadie F. (Gibson) Hall.
She was a member of the Jehovah?s Witnesses in Waldron and a homemaker
Jo is survived by her son, Butch Carpenter and his wife Lori of Waldron, Arkansas; a grandson Chad Carpenter and great-granddaughter, Skylyan Natalie Carpenter of Fort Smith, Arkansas, a grandson Johnathon Sells of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Jarome Hall of Y-City, Arkansas, Jerry Don Hall of Y-City, Arkansas; two nieces Brenda Charlson of Waldron, Arkansas, Linda Stuart of Y-City, Arkansas; one nephew Mike Hall of Y-City, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Bud Carpenter and a daughter Carolyn Sells of Norman, Arkansas.
JoElla?s funeral service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Waldron, AR, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11th, with Bro Roger Bates, officiating with interment in the Chant Cemetery in Y-City, Arkansas under the direction of the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron.
Pallbearers will be Mike Austin, Mike Norman, Josh Sims, Charles Maxwell, Dale Charlson, and Dale Bates.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hall and Harvey Stuart.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2009, and 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday February 10, 2009 at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
