Jimmy Lee ?Merle J? Wagner or to his Whirlpool co-workers known as ?Muley? went to be with his lord and savior, Saturday morning, December 24, 2011 after a five month battle with leukemia in a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital. Jimmy was born July 14, 1956 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Leon and Tressie (Self) Wagner. He was 55 years, 6 months, and 10 days old.
Jimmy worked over thirty-four years at Whirlpool in Fort Smith. He enjoyed spending time at the Showroom Club in Waldron. Jimmy loved watching football and car racing. He could often be found at Rick Black?s Station hanging out with all the guy?s. Jimmy faithfully attended the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God.
Jimmy leaves behind to cherish his memory, one sister, Glenda Stinson and husband, Jimmy of Waldron, Arkansas; two brothers, Tom Wagner of Waldron, Arkansas, and Larry (Goob) Wagner and wife, Trish of Waldron, Arkansas.
He also leaves one niece, Jaylee Wagner; seven nephews, Johnny, Dakota and Jordan Wagner, Mike and Lance Stinson, Jason Silvey and Devin Curtis; two aunts, Melba Hathaway of Lavaca, Arkansas, and Gladys Keener of Waldron, Arkansas.
Jimmy is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a sister-in-law, Pat Wagner; and a niece Brenda (Wagner) Keeney.
Jimmy?s going home service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Rickey Hunt, officiating. Interment will follow in the Lamb Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
Jimmy?s pallbearers will be Mondell Wagner, James Vaughn, Clifton Slater, Rick Black, Mike Stinson, and Lance Stinson.
Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
